Getting to the conference

Please note that there are two Maritim hotels in Darmstadt. The conference sessions will be held in the Maritim Rhein-Main hotel. Please do not confuse this with the Maritim Konferenzhotel (this is only a few hundred metres away). Unless stated otherwise, whenever we refer to "Maritim hotel" we will be refering to the Maritim Rhein-Main hotel.

Frankfurt-Main airport

Darmstadt is only 25 minutes by shuttle bus from Frankfurt-Main (FRA) airport, the second busiest passenger airport in Europe. There is a shuttle bus running directly from the airport (Terminal 1, Arrivals level B, Bus stop 14, "HEAG Airliner") to the conference hotel (Maritim Hotel) and then to Luisenplatz, the centre of Darmstadt. The cost is 6.70 euros one-way. For those staying at the Maritim hotel this fee can be reimbursed by the hotel, please give your bus ticket to hotel reception when you check in. Tickets for your return journey to Frankfurt airport can be obtained from Hotel reception. The timetable and departure point for the shuttle bus can be found found here.

Frankfurt-Hahn airport

For those arriving from Frankfurt-Hahn airport (HHN), the easiest way to the conference is to catch a shuttle bus to Frankfurt-Main (FRA) airport (Note that this shuttle bus runs from Hahn to Frankfurt-Main airport and then continues to Frankfurt city). The timetable for this bus is available here. From Frankfurt-Main airport follow the instructions listed above to get to Darmstadt.

Train

Darmstadt Hauptbahnhof (Central railway station) is only 300 metres from the conference hotel.
